Bicester RUFC International Ticket Policy:
Bicester RUFC’s policy on the club allocation of England International tickets is designed to ensure that ticket distribution is fair and that tickets are allocated for the benefit of the club, Club members, supporters and our sponsors.
Tickets are initially limited to two per applicant, one of which must be for the applicant, however, it is acceptable to group a number of applications together, for example to be seated together.
Tickets will be made available by ballot. Vice President plus and Honorary Life members only are afforded a one week window of opportunity to apply for tickets in a closed ballot, after which a general ballot will be advertised on the club website and by email (where the member has indicated that they are willing to receive marketing emails from the club on the RFU’s GMS) to all currently registered Club members.
In the event of all of our allocation of tickets not being taken up, they will be re-advertised on the club website and by email on a first come, first served basis to members only. Any tickets still not taken up will be returned to the RFU Ticket Exchange.
Full payment for the tickets, together with the name and address of each ‘guest’ ticket holder must be provided to the Club before the tickets are issued. If an applicant’s ‘guest’ changes after the ticket has been issued, the applicant must inform the Club of the new name and address through the Honorary Secretary as they are not otherwise transferable.
In event of an applicant or their ‘guest’ not being able to attend a match, please inform the Club through the Honorary Secretary. First refusal for resale will be given to those members who were unsuccessful in the ballot. The Club has to pay up front for our tickets. For us, this is the single biggest expenditure of the season. Consequently, financial liability will remain with the original ticket holder as the club cannot be left to underwrite the cost of unwanted tickets.
Non-payment before the due date stipulated will result in the tickets being re-advertised and will result in the applicant being denied opportunities to apply for future tickets for a period of 12 months.
Tickets must not be resold in any circumstance. The RFU monitor ticket distribution on social media, ticket agencies and entry gates and will hold our club responsible for any misuse. Any individual involved would be subject of disciplinary proceedings by the club.
The club reserves the right to withhold tickets at each allocation to use for the benefit of the club as determined by a majority of the board of directors, the details of which will be published at the first monthly committee meeting thereafter.
If you have any questions regarding this policy please contact the Honorary Secretary, Amanda Thomas by email email@example.com
